Most hotels I found would allow only 2 adults and maybe one child.

Mid Range Beijing Family Hotels

Novotel Peace Hotel

No. 3 Jin Yu Hontong, Wangfujing,

Novotel Peace Hotel is a great option for families. It is an excellent location, within walking distance to the Forbidden City! It is a modern hotel with loads of amenities

The Mercure is in walking distance of Metro line 1 and 10. This is a great affordable Beijing family hotel.

Tianrui Hotel is located in a hutong close to the Forbidden City. There is a minibar in the room which is handy when travelling with little ones! It is close to a metro stop, lots of restaurants and shops.

• See life in the traditional hutongs
• Walking distance to Wangfujing night market where you can get live bugs on a stick to eat (or strawberries!).

The East Gate apartments are centrally located. There is a shopping mall located below the apartments. The units have fully equipped kitchens and laundry facilities!

• The mall has bowling and movie theatre
• Outdoor play area

Cheap Beijing Family Hotels

Zhong An Hotel

No.5 Nanheyan Street, Dongcheng District,

This family-friendly hostel is five minutes from the subway and within walking distance to the Forbidden City. This is very basic accommodation but you are in walking distance to many of Beijing's attractions. Great for those on a tight budget. They offer a laundry service too.

For the Kids:

• Tv in the rooms (No English Channels though!)
• Cafe on site to grab a bite to eat
• Walking distance to Wang fu jiang night market!

Fits a family of:

• Quad room to fit a family of 4

19 Xinnong Street Xuanwu District, Hotel Website

R J Brown is located a 10-minute drive from the Forbidden City.

For the Kids:

• Pizza restaurant next door
• Supermarket nearby to pick up snacks and drinks
• Close to the Temple of Heaven which has a great park for the kids with playground exercise equipment and lots to see!
• Walking distance to the Acrobat Show!
