This activity is perfect for your kids on hot summer days and even during the rainy season. It is done indoors, so you do not have to worry about getting sweaty or even getting wet with the rain. Surely, your kids will enjoy Escape Break because this could be their break from all the temple runs and sightseeing that you will do. This will also be a nice way to bond with your kids and get to know them more.
What makes it even better is that you and your family will get to test your strategic skills in a live escape game. You will also learn the value of teamwork because that is the only way to succeed in this game. For maximum enjoyment, let your kids lead the game. So how do you play?
First, form your team of two to seven people. Then, you may choose your game from the following options: Outbreak, City of Temples, Ghost Ship, and Kowloon Captive. Each game has its own unique challenges.
In Outbreak, you are assigned to the ultrasecretive Defence Science and Technology Laboratory where the British government conducts top secret research on the control and containment of dangerous viruses. One night, you are suddenly trapped and you receive a call to inform you that a deadly virus has been released by a rogue state on the orders of their leader, and now the human race is in danger. Your goal is to find the cure inside the laboratory of a professor who has been working on the said cure. If you can break into his laboratory, there’s a huge chance that you will find the cure.
City of Temples, on the other hand, lets you pretend that you are archaeologists searching the ancient ruins of Siem Reap for a long lost artifact. Then, you meet an old man who informs you where you could find that artifact. However, the temple which is home to this artifact only opens once every 100 years and closes after a short period of time. Your goal is to get inside that temple, find the artifact, and get out.
In Ghost ship, you and your team are commissioned to salvage the remains of a famous American merchant. However, as you board the ship, you realize that no one else is in there and as soon as you enter, the door closes and you’re stuck. Your goal is to get out of the ship before the waves, winds, and upcoming storm take away that chance.
Lastly, in Kowloon Captive, you are an undercover Hong Kong police officer embedded in a violent criminal gang. You are at their secret headquarters in a backstreet bar in Kowloon. This gang has most likely taken as hostage one politician’s daughter and many believe that you will find answers in this bar. Now, the gang is out fighting with some other gang while you are left alone at the bar, and your partner is with them. He tells you that you don’t have much time before the gang goes back to their headquarters. Your goal is to look for evidence that may aid her release.
After you choose among the four options, thee staff will lock you inside a room. You will be given 60 minutes to search for clues and solve puzzles in order to unlock the room and escape. You must all work together to complete your mission and succeed.
Are you planning on a trip to Siem Reap? Are you worried that when you go during the rainy season, you will not have much activities to do? Or do you want an activity that will give you a break from sun exposure and that is a little different from temple runs? Don’t worry, Escape Break will be there to make your vacation more fun and enjoyable.
