The Best Varadero Resorts For Kids
One of the best budget resorts for kids in Cuba is the Arenas Blancas Hotel in Varadero. This resort will accommodate a family of 4. They will usually place you in a ground floor room with 3 double beds. The hotel is a bit rough around the edges but it is in a great location and has excellent value. My family stayed here-the kids were thrilled with it.
The resort has a huge pool and is on a nice stretch of that beautiful Varadero beach. There are lots of organized activities such as mini golf competitions, dance lessons and pool games (though the prizes are usually bottles of rum even when the kids win!). They have a newly renovated kid's club. There is also a playground for the kids with swings and a climbing structure. This resort is located next to the town so you have lots of access to shops and restaurants. When you get tired of the buffet (and believe me you will!) there are a few a la carte restaurants. If you want to eat off the resort there is an excellent fondue restaurant down the street. At night there are entertaining shows (my teenage son enjoyed these!). A great Cuba resort choice. For those families traveling on a shoestring budget consider the Mar Del Sur. This hotel is in Varadero as well and offers 2 bedroom apartments that can sleep a family of 5 or 6. The apartments have a kitchenette and separate living area so lots of room to spread out in!
The hotel offers an all inclusive option. It has an on site pool with a children's section and is a few minutes walk to a beautiful beach. If you are looking for a fun Cuban resort for kids then check out Breezes Bella Costa. This is a 4 star all inclusive family hotel in Varadero that will allow a family of 4 in one room. Interconnecting rooms are also available. They also have family suites available (book through Nolitours for this option). If you want a change from the resort food there is a great restaurant serving pizza and other Italian dishes on the second floor of the nearby Plaza Americanas.
There is a children's pool and playground, as well as a kid's club for ages 4-13 available. They have a games room with pinball and arcade type games. Another option for a fun Holguin family resort is the Playa Pesquero. This resort will allow a family of 4 in one room. There are family suites available with 2 rooms as well. This large resort has 2 pools including a separate pool for children.
It has an excellent kid's club (ages 4-12) as well as a baby club (0-4). The kid's club is very good here with friendly staff. They have lots of games and activities to keep children entertained and in the evenings they can head to the kid's disco. One of the best family resorts in Cuba is the Tryp Cayo Coco. There rooms can accommodate a family of 4. The food is quite good here with a selection of a la carte restaurants as well. They have burgers, fries and pizza for the kids as well. There is a flamingo pond here-fun for the kids to check out. In the evenings you can stroll the beach in search of sand crabs. There is also evening entertainment for the kids with cotton candy and churros!
