Cambodia with kids is an adventure! This fascinating country is steeped in rich history. A visit to the ancient Angkor temples is one of the best things to do in Cambodia with kids. These ancient ruins are a World Heritage Site. Your children will love exploring the area in a tuk tuk or cyclo.
Citizens of most countries will require a visa to enter Cambodia. Check the Cambodian government website for current requirements. Children under 12 require a visa however it is free. You may be able to obtain a visa on arrival (need 2 spare pages on passport, 2 passport photos(bring with you) and 4 months left before passport expires). There is also a departure tax when you leave the country. $25 Adult, $13 for children under 12.The heat is quite intense in Cambodia. Be sure to pack sunscreen and sun hats and carry bottled water with you when you visit the sites. Our strategy was to book a hotel with a pool. We visited the sites in the morning and then spent a few hours cooling off in the pool. We headed back out in the late afternoon again. Mosquitoes can be a problem in Cambodia.
